Right now I lived in Philly but I never been to Chicago. I really have to say is Chicago is alot bigger for what i understand. I alway looked on the computer about Chicago and the view. They have 3x more view than Philadelphia. To me Philly is kind of a walking city for what I haved seen for along time.
lol@this site and its infatuation with this supposed "midwestern" mindset...first off there is "hi" "hello" from random strangers...if you go downtown or the northside you will see people darting out trying to beat cars across the street...these are every day occurrences.....You honestly can't judge Chicago by this midwestern nonsense you guys spew..because chicago is so different from its surrounding neighbors it has a whole different set of challenges so people clearly don't function or dress the same..smh
Chicago has basic human respect, if someone ****s that up then they aint ****. Chicago mentality is a reserved observing sniper rifle ready to shoot. We don't fire blanks for show. Chicago is the city that walks the walk and talks when its havin a good time. The real, old city, and the posh new, destroying the culture and at the same time creating revenue. Money is the root of all evil, chicago is the root of all that is real, bad, and good. Never been to Philly, I hear its alright.
Though Chicago is bigger, Philadephia is in the Northeast and has that uptight always in a rush feel to it. you can see it when people are driving and walking. Chicago seemed more relaxed, its hard to explain but you just feel the calmer energy.
I haven't been to either but the northeast seems to be more fast paced and alive, and the Midwest is mostly rural/farms etc. So Philly wins
The northeast is much more fast paced than the midwest but cities in the midwest aren't rural by any means. I think what adds to the northeast are the rowhomes right on top of each other.
Philly is in the Northeast, so automatically is much more fast-paced.
Midwest = farms and large people, so (literally) much slower paced.
