On the sidewalks, Philadelphia. On the highways, Chicago.*

(*: Part of this is by design, thanks to the Schuylkill Expressway, which is in desperate need of capacity expansion.)

I've never been to Chicago(except for the airport) and would love to visit to see what it's like.

Philly is Philly! In my expierence there's no other city especially in the northeast that is more fast paced than Philly but NYC. Understandable the two biggest cities on the east coast.

Washington DC may have more traffic than Philly, but I dont think that makes DC more fast paced.

Ya know whats funny..ill be heading down to baltimore this weekend to see some friends.. and they're actually taking me to DC for my first time..so i'll be able to judge for myself..i'll keep you posted.

Ive actually never had a desire to go to DC..its like one of those places I would want to visit when im older on a bus trip..so I could take pictures of the museums..and the white house..but thats all that comes to mind. I assume that it wont be as fast paced as Philly..Philly has over 1.5+ million people on the move..Philly just has that massive city feeling just walking down the street...

Im sure DC will be splendid fun though.

DC is much busier than Philly. Almost a million people on the subway every day plus DT DC is three times the size of CC with 500,000 workers and 100,000 tourist all over the place. On any given day, there are over a million people in DC which is 61 square miles. Philly is twice that size at 132 square miles. You get the point.

And maybe you "DC people" are a bit too insecure on this website.. notice this thread is about Philly and Chicago.. DC wasnt mentioned...untill you guys felt the need to say "Look at me"

PS. I may go to DC this weekend and actually love it. Relax.
