New York City is at 188 as September 10 same time in 2016 city saw 247 homicides it pace stay the same NYC will finish year under 300 homicides historic lows


The Bronx saw 49 compare to 69 in 2016 with 220 shooting victims 212 indents last week surge in shootings make it slightly above last year shooting victims numbers

Brooklyn saw 78 homicides compare to 101 in 2016 with 246 shooting victims 210 shooting indents

Manhattan saw 21 homicides compare to 23 last year with 81 shooting victims 64 shooting indents

Queens saw 33 homicides compare to 36 last year with 88 shooting victims 78 shootings indents

Staten Island saw 6 homicides compare to 18 last year with 35 shooting victims 31 shooting indents

Chicago is at 508 despite high numbers again this year homicides in Chicago this year and shootings is still lower than last year but still high city on pace for 700-730 homicides lower than 762 last year. Majority of homicides is on South and West Side of city but Chicago has to lower it murder rate by 50-70%.

Las Vegas Metro* 17 murders in North Las Vegas separate city from Las Vegas but metro area is one murder rate but yearly average for city of Las Vegas average 110 or so but population of Las Vegas is 670,000
