Richmond had four people murdered at the same housing project last night--three in a triple murder, one a few streets over. That gives the city 59 murders at 9/9/17, after having 66 for the entirety of 2016...

The city is starting to hearken memories of pre-2005 Richmond, which earned a reputation as a murder capital during four decades as one of the most violent cities in America. The murder rate currently sits at 26.46 per 100k...

Norfolk murders have risen to 25/10.2...

For comparison, DC is at 77/11.3 and Baltimore is at 243/39.51. Chicago is at 485/17.93. A week ago St. Louis was at 141/45.34. I see it and Baltimore are fighting to the finish to see which city is the worst in the US. Baltimore has always been a runner up to St. Louis but has been trying it's hardest to beat them this year...

Damn, NYC is at 182 for the year per the most recent compstat

So much for the de Blasio haters who claimed the city was going to return to its 1985 state

Its ironic that as bad as Baltimore has been for so long it has never led the nation in homicide rates. If St.louis improves just slightly, then they will run away with it. Detroit and New Orleans have finally reduced their rates.
