I thought it would be interesting to see which countries have the most foreign born people by MSA. For each country that the US Census collects data on, there is listed the top 10 MSAs which have the most people born in said country. This is also for MSAs with 1M+ in theory, although, unfortunately, all of the MSAs between 1 million and 1.6 million people except for Hartford, CT didn't have data in the dataset that's being used for this. There were a few more MSAs that didn't have data besides this, but not many. Most would not have been listed at all or very highly in any of the countries. In total, data was collected about 34 MSAs.
The order of the MSAs represented below is ordered by the sum of each country for the MSAs descending.

This one stood out to me the most. For such a small city to be leading so much above all those much larger cities, some even pretty close by. Very interesting.
Now I know why Minneapolis has so many Thai restaurants. I thought they were just trendy. The Hmong, Lao and Vietnamese are such a big part of our Asian population here that I think we forget about the rest.

Agreed....I also thought Newark would have made the list the Ironbound and other areas close in seem to have quite a few Portuguese.

As the title and paragraph say clearly, this is for MSAs - not cities. Every MSA listed has at least 1.6 million people with the exception of Hartford, CT which has 1.2 million people.

Does this mean that no MSA between 1.2 million and 1.6 million is in the top ten of any of these immigrant origins?
