Mavs won a ship in 2011. Cowboys were 15-1 last year. both have billionaire owners who won't hesistate to spend. the problem is they wanna run the whole show and not let experienced general managers do it for them.

Don't forget about the Bulldogs blowing the National Championship on virtually homefield (I know GA Tech is actually in ATL, but Georgia seems to be the team most ATL natives follow)

There's a video on Georgia sports teams:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ugtv1DEfAzk

Here's a unique option: Toronto.

No NFL team. They have the CFL, but that doesn't have that big of a following. Even less than college football here.
The Raptors have went from terrible to perennial playoff chokers
The Blue Jays literally missed the playoffs for 18 years until having the honor of losing to Kansas City and Cleveland in the ALCS, and now have to deal with the Yankees and Red Sox being decent again. Yeah they won 2 in the early 90s, which are Toronto's last championships
The Maple Leafs haven't done anything since 1967, and yet Torontonians still follow this team like they're some great big success story.

Toronto is the 4th largest media market in North America, and haven't had much to show for it.

As a long suffering fan in Atlanta, I want to nominate my city. The Hawks in 50 seasons have never even made the NBA championship series, much less won any. The Braves haven't won a postseason series since 2000. Both are currently bad teams. The Falcons have a good team, but our all time Super Bowl last year choke should offset any success we've had.

That’s especially true regarding the Cowboys. Mavs, not so much.

No way can you include Oakland with the Warriors being so good.

It also doesn't count Villanova's two NCAA Men's Basketball Championships in 1985, and 2016.

The Braves winning 14 division championships in the 90s and 00s and only one World Series win is almost as bad. Who did they beat? The one city with worse luck, lol.... Cleveland.
The truth hurts me!

I was thinking of taking that post to task as well. Dude just commented on the current situation. The Rangers have given exciting baseball the last several years, the Mavs as well. And if someone doesn't count the Tom Landry years and then the 90s with Aikman and Emmett and company, they don't know football at all. One of the richest histories of any franchise in the NFL.

Totally agree that Jerry Jones is one of his own worst enemies.

But, the Warriors are about to move to San Fran, so it's not gonna be Oakland's team anymore after this season. Plus, the Raiders are moving to Vegas, so the only Oakland team that's left is The A's. The Warriors are just one team, the A's have been mediocre so have the Raiders.
