Latinos aren't first, but they are second, having just jumped over blacks into that position.
As recently as 10 years ago it was Blacks, Whites, then Hispanics.
Now it's Whites, Hispanics, Blacks.
White and Hispanic have been increasing by tens of thousands, while the Black population has been nosediving by hundreds of thousands since the year 2000, dropping from a solid 1st place to 3rd place.
Yes, I understand that. I said Hispanics/Latinos are the largest "minority" group in Chicago. They are still slightly behind whites. For a while, the city was roughly equally 30% white, black, and Hispanic (with about 10% Asian). It's starting to shift now though.

Crime is causing blacks to leave chicago, with alot of crime being blacks vs hispanics, although hispanic are causing ethnic cleansing of blacks in los angeles

That’s not true in Chicago. I’ve never heard about Blacks and Hispanics having problems here; definitely not like you hear about in LA. Majority of the high violent crime numbers are black on black crime in the south side and west side. Hispanics are highly concentrated in the Southwest side and parts of the West and NW sides (although they are spreadout over the city now) Blacks and Puerto Ricans live together in Humbolt Park. Although the segregation of races in the farther residential neighborhoods is bad, it's probably why you hear about less problems between different groups
In the NYC case, white flight definition has to be expanded. Minorities (blacks) moved to the city in the 1930s and white people didn't started to move out of the city until after the war due to the GI bill and the ever expanding highway system. White flight was instigated by realtors and developers selling the suburbs as the real american dream. A combination of red lining and other maneuvers accelerated the process in the 60s, then bankruptcy happened in the city in the 70s and 80s.
NYC was 85+% white even until the 1960 census. Diversification was fairly rapid after that.

That's not true at all. A very large proportion of crime in the city is black on black. The next grouping would be Hispanic on Hispanic, with maybe a bit of mixing but no big black vs Hispanic battles.
Generally speaking whites and Asians are very rarely the victims of nor the perpetrators of violent crime and especially murders in the city. Together they're a million of the population, or around 38% of the total population, but never more than around 5% of the murder victims.
Gentrification is causing a black exodus out of washington DC,proving white people can cause even rich blacks and poor blacks to move with the drop of a time
What? How do they cause rich blacks to move out of the city?
I'm from south side of Mount Vernon, NY and before the 1970's italians and Jews were seen by the FHA as black and were denied mortgages, when the government decided that they were white, they left the ghetto in a new york minute
Not entirely. It wasn't 1977 that "White" in government data came to describe anyone "having origins in any of the original peoples" of Europe, the Middle East or North Africa.
