I think both cities are relatively known for their diversity, and after listening to Bill Simmons' podcast a few months ago, I feel like both fly very much under the radar

Criteria include

1) Regional Cuisine
2) Ethnic Variety
3) Innovation
4) Fine Dining
5) Uniqueness

Houston is an amazing food city. It’s one of the best nationwide. It scores extremely high on each one of those elements.

But I gotta give this to Toronto. The ethnic varieties can’t be beat and the fine dining is better there.

Toronto's pretty decent but it can't compete with Houston.

Houston has to win for ethnic variety, right?

Not over Toronto. Toronto can go toe-to-toe with NYC on ethnic variety and is probably above even LA.

I dont think it is as clear cut as it is at first glance. I personally think it may be a tie. Toronto and Houston both boast quite a bit of ethnic variety, but they both most likely have types of foods that may not be readily available in each city.

It would be interesting to see what types of foods are available in either city that is not accessible in the other.

The ethnic food here in Houston is top notch, truly superb. I hope it doesnt come across that Im trying to minimize that. Toronto is statistically the most diverse city on earth per capita. I just dont know of anywhere other than NYC that could really match it but Im happy to be proven wrong.
