SF is over represented among Tamil and other Dravidian languages. Does the tech industries recruit from Southern India?

Besides Little India in Artesia there are small communities in the West San Fernando Valley and around Palms/Culver City.

What does having an ethnic neighborhood do that as a group reaching the pinnacle of success not do?

And Asians are the largest racial group in Santa Clara county(Pop 1.938 Million) having surpassed whites.
Santa Clara County, CA
Asian 36.2%
Non Hispanic White 31.3%
Hispanic 25.5%
Black 2.4%

Something tells me the need to have a Little India is probably not at the top of the priority list for Indians in Silicon Valley.
The population in SF has grown since Mayor Lee offered incentives for Tech but there is not really an enclave.

Yeah. Bangalore (majority Kannada speaking), Hyderabad (Telugu and Urdu), and Chennai (Tamil) are all in Southern India and those are the three largest IT centers in India. Pune is Marathi speaking, Mumbai is Hindi speaking surrounded by Marathi speakers, and Delhi is Hindi and Urdu, representing the other three major tech centers in India.

I'd venture to guess the Punjabi speakers there aren't tech affiliated, but more of the West Coast trend of attracting Punjabis for one reason or another.

There is a Punjabi community in the Central Valley which started with agriculture.

Yes, the Los Angeles metro area does have a smaller Indian population for its size. However, it is growing rapidly in places like Irvine where there is now a large Indian population.

LA's tech industry being relatively small could be a factor.

I did the top 10 metro areas plus the two major Bay Area metros.

I also expect Houston to pass Los Angeles.
