Here is a picture of the SF skyline taken from the Twin Peaks during my visit in last December.

The skycrappers in the Financial district do give a pretty dense feeling, reminiscent of Lower Manhattan/Hudson Yards of NYC, of course much smaller in scale.

This is Dallas in 2019 and it’s no where near as big or dense as SF or Miami. I love Dallas but I’m not a delusional homer...clearly Dallas isn’t #3. It’s growing though...

Dallas looks good but I heard they haven't built anything of significant height in quite a while.

It’s a combination of height restrictions in areas that are booming and not having a big enough demand for it. They’ve converted a lot of the vacant buildings in Downtown. At one point, we had over 40 vacant buildings in downtown. Now we only have one and it’s currently being converted into a mixed use building. After that, it should be nothing but new construction.

There are proposals for supertalls...the projects just needs a tenant.

Miami should be 3rd; not so much in height, but in density. 4th is probably SF...I'd put Philly around 5 or 6.

Is Houston's number all downtown in one skyline or multiple skylines?

Pretty sure its going to be Miami #3 and Los Angeles/Houston tied for #4. Philly and ATL very close behind those two.

I have to agree... the only other city in the US that looks anything similar to the density and skyscraper canyons of Manhattan is SF's financial district.

I know Miami may have more in numbers but visually SF is America's 3rd largest skyline.
