I would guess that, with them being the World Class cities of our country, they performed so highly in the other categories that it outweighed the affordability aspect.
Not when New Orleans usually ranks among the top food cities in the world by some of the top food websites and top travel websites.
As Grand Rapids homers we are sad that you didn't think our city (ranked 25) was significant enough to put on your list. Even though it is bigger than several of the Californian suburbs you thought to include, as well as has a larger metro area than several other cities on your list. Though we understand that based on your geographic proximity it may not be on your radar.
(and by we I mean me lol)
Yeah, sorry about that, for such a small city #25 is pretty high on the is list. 182 cities is a long list I had to weed it out some how and near the bottom I kept the California cities since I live in California.
Sorry but this list is a joke. Anyone with a knowledge of food and travel (not to mention James Beard award nominees and winners) knows that Minneapolis is Top 15. Not 34.
NEVER heard of Minneapolis as a "foodie" city. Been there many times, and have never thought this. Anyway, there are lists everywhere, and they all disagree. None that I have seen, though, list Minneapolis way up there.

I think there's a disconnect in your logic here. Sure it's a small city, but at 200k it's within range of cities like Des Moines or Spokane, which you thought to include. Yet it's urban and metro areas are much larger than both. Perhaps a quick google search next time
Which is what make Orlando at #11 hysterical. It's almost completely free of legitimate farmers markets and there is about zero interest in where food comes from.
It's WalletHub, I am virtually certain they just make stuff up. None of their lists make sense.
There's more good eatin' in the South End, in a silo, than in Baltimore.
Where did you eat while in Baltimore? I may have to avoid that place.
