The finalists for Tesla's new Gigafactory for the Cybertruck is reportedly down to Austin and Tulsa. Which city should Tesla pick? Should it be Austin since it's bigger and better and is weird like Musk? Or Tulsa for having lower cost of living, less traffic congestion and the Tulsa Port of Catoosa for barges to the Mississippi River?

Austin.

Austin really is well on its way to being the most expensive city in Texas to live in.

Being more and more expensive is always more and more better and Tesla will make things more better, if Austin is picked.

However, one of Tulsa’s biggest advantages is if Musk goes to Austin, Musk would just be a face in the crowd, if he goes to Tulsa, he’s the face of Tulsa and for him that is likely important. Tulsa is already wanting to do it as it remade the face of the Driller statue in the likeness of Musk. Golden Driller transformed into Elon Musk:

Tulsa would be best. The city has a low cost of living, good quality of life, and better infrastructure. Tulsa has an emerging tech scene and better quality art museums. I like that the downtown is clean and does not have many homeless or vagrants as well.

I'd rather see it in Tulsa, it would make a bigger impact there. It would get a huge boost like Reno did. I've always liked and been intrigued by Tulsa. It has great history and awesome buildings and it has great projects recently completed and in planning. The BOK Center is an awesome structure and one of the greatest successes among arenas in the country. It would be awesome to see how the city might transform by landing this project.

I think it would be cool for a city like Tulsa to land something like this

The Cybertruck is fugly as sin. I certainly wouldn't want my city associated with it. Let Tulsa have it.

Austin doesn't want or need it, send it to Tulsa.

I agree ,Tulsa would be a company town unlike Austin which already has several big name players. It would also improve the quality of life in Tulsa with the addition of higher wage jobs in a low cost city
