You should have offered an Even Influence as a poll option, because that's the reality.

I disagree. I'd like to see if I'm of the same mindset as the majority.

Is their weather similar? Is Tampa wetter/hotter? Is Orlando dryer/cooler? Or is the difference too negligible to worry about?

Not sure about the extent of overall Northern influence, but the Tampa Bay area tends to draw more transplants from the Midwest, and the Orlando area from the Northeast, which is the predominant pattern for western vs. eastern Florida. Of course both areas receive migrants from all over the US and beyond such that there is no particularly dominant group.

It’s very even.

Tough call. Tampa has a noticeable midwestern vibe. Orlando feels more international than northern. It would be interesting to hear from individuals born and raised in both.

Tampa has the most transplants from the Midwest - Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Ontario, Michigan, etc. Orlando tends to have more recent immigrants which influences its culture - most notably Afro-Caribbean and Puerto Rican.

Therefore, I would say Tampa has more northern influence.

Yes. I was thinking the same thing.

It seems Orlando gets more influence from Northeast, and Tampa from the Midwest?
