And let me guess, none of these people have ever been to Atlanta - correct? All they need to hear is San Diego, and they just assume.
I don't know many people in my circle who haven't been to both Atlanta and SD. Atlanta is great, but not everybody HAS to love it. I just don't get offended if someone is not enamored with the city I live in.

Neither do I, but I am certainly portrayed that way due to calling BS when it needs to be called. I could care less, actually. We're big enough as is.
BS about what? That I have friends that prefer SD? I don't think that's as far fetched as you may think. It's a nice city.
No, you're making this about you and this thread. I have been labeled as a huge Atlanta homer by several people here, when all I do is defend the place and call out BS when people act ignorant. And I happen to love San Diego. I've been working remotely from there for over 8 years, and was there regularly pre-COVID. I am not willing to give up my quality of life to live there, but I still love the place and look forward to each visit.

Its just weird, not long ago it was compared to Fargo ND... I mean seriously...
Now THAT was extremely weird. But compared to legacy cities with smaller metros but more developed cores or smaller metros with more defined geographical settings, those are understandable (with both at least being mid-major metros of around 2.5M+).
I'm sure they're started to by those who want to flatter Atlanta. It and the southern cities dominate CD. Well except Austin.
I think they do it to insult Atlanta as if we’re not a major US city simply because of our suburbs and large land area MSA. It’s really getting annoying.
