Does it…deserve any? I don’t think I’ve ever heard a good thing said about Trenton.

I don't know why I didn't think of this, but yeah, if these rankings include offerings in the whole CSA, then Trenton should be near or at the top of the list, just like Annapolis.

Maybe I'm not seeing the appeal of Annapolis itself because I'm not really into those quaint colonial towns --- and I've also only ever seen Annapolis on streetview, so I don't know how vibrant it is IRL --- but I'd think that Trenton being in the NYC and Philly metros is at least as big of a draw as Annapolis being in the DC and Baltimore metros.

I spent a lot of time on Stokely Avenue in West Trneton, the nice part. Nothing about Trenton deserves praise

The only thing that matters on this website is population density and “urban bones”

Regardless of quality of any stuff that matters

Which is why DC posters twist themselves into pretzels to justify why it’s okay DC is the least dense of that second tier of dense cities.

The purpose of the thread has totally flown over people's heads here.

Trenton with access to all of metro NYC and Philadelphia's amenities, vibrancy, cultural offerings in/around it's metro area is grounds for it being #1 on the list based on the criteria of the OP. Totally forgot about Trenton, and not sure why it even slipped my mind.

Not sure what this even means or why it's being brought up. DC is the 6th most dense US city above 500k in the country, and will likely be 4th at the end of this decade.

Take another look at the OP...

"What in your opinion are the Top 10 state capitals areas (metro suburbs/exurbs/sister cities included) in terms of vibrancy, amenities, culture, things to do etc?"

Trenton essentially makes this a discussion of metro NYC, and heck even Philly too since it literally borders it, vs every other capital city metro area. Same thing with Annapolis.

Trenton is still over an hour to NYC and Philadelphia. I highly doubt people from Trenton visit either more than on special occasions. The people I know who live in Trenton dont usually go that far. Philadelphia moreso
