I tell people all the time total shootings matter more than homicides. The only difference from this week and lass week was accuracy.

This YTD has 30 more shootings but 6 less homicides.
Update on Philly Memorial Day Weekend....45 people shot, 15 killed.

MDW saw 9 mass shootings...but the media didn't care about reporting this until the South Street ''mass shooting'' which is misplaced in that there were up to 5 separate shooters/shootings. Reported as a ''mass shootings'' when it was more like a shoot-out from an old western movie.

Teen? Jumped by several people? The ''teen'' you refer to is a 23 year old man; the ''several people'' referred to are (2) 34 year old ''men'', basically middle aged dudes. They went at it in a shoot-out on South Street that culminated in additional separate shooters randomly opening fire, killing 2 and injuring 12+.

No mention of shooter/s being in a vehicle as well.

This was not a ''mass shooting'' as the media keeps describing it.

There's always been a divide between the area inside 495 and outside 495. Inversely the outer beltways area has around 550k and only have 5, (2) in bowie,md and (3) in Clinton ,Md which were domestic related.
