The Beach is now at 9/1.96 thru April 5, 95 days of 2022. It would be unusual for this rate to hold the entire year, but if it does that puts the city on pace for ~34-35 by year end---->35 would pass the record of 34 from 2019 (13 of which were part of the atypical mass shooting)...
Just to note, sun-times homicide tracker is off by 3 homicides, as the CPD reported 132 as of 4/3, with 9 more killed between yesterday and today. The latest three occurred in three separate communities on the south side.
I’ve been wondering also. Information not easily obtained online. I feel like the Houston PD website promises numbers but then gives you the runaround.
