I think this basically just conflates affluence/disposable income with ”glamour.”

As others note, I also associate ”glamour” with a very niche segment of the population that is VERY heavily concentrated in NYC and LA, with honorable mention to Miami and Vegas for being glamour hotspots, and then, perhaps, a very, very small segment (1-2%) in other large metro areas.

Frankly, if they titled it "25 Classiest Cities" instead of "25 Most Glamorous," it would make sense to me too. And yes, St. Louis belongs in that former group of 25.

Laughing at St. Louis and at Chicago being ranked over Boston and LA. Get out of here with that.

What are you talking about, St. Louis is ranked lower than Boston and LA. And Chicago is just a little bit above Boston and LA. And tbh, yes I think Chicago is more “glamorous” than Boston, and I don’t think that is a controversial take. Debatable yes, but I don’t think it’s insane to claim that.

Maybe a little higher, but not much higher / top tier. San Diego for the most part is almost the antithesis of glamour, preferring more casual and laid back (flip flops, surfer dude, carne asada tacos, border town, military town, with some pocket exceptions like a La Jolla/Del Mar) and priding itself on not being LA (or even Orange County), almost the opposite.
