It's Charlotte for me for sure. Mini-ATL but a lot slower-paced.
Atlanta and Dallas have a lot of similarities on a superficial level but they really don't feel similar at all to me for a variety of reasons.
I agree on a superficial level and somewhat layout of the land(not entirely) Atlanta and Dallas have similarities but overall feel and especially on a cultural level NO. Charlotte feels more like a distant cousin to Atlanta than Dallas does.

I'm not too familiar with Dallas, but from I imagine the culture in many ways might be more similar to Nashville than Atlanta. I'm also not familiar with Austin but I image to culture to be similar to certain parts of Atlanta (mainly the Eastside areas and Midtown) even though I'm always hearing it compared to Nashville. I can see the argument for Charlotte as well especially being in the same region with similar climates and geography being in the Piedmont region.
How is Atlanta “faster-paced” than Charlotte? What make Charlotte “a lot slower-paced” than Atlanta????
Just the general pace of life, the way people move, the activities available, the nightlife, the general bustle. Charlotte feels like I can imagine Atlanta did in the 70s and 80s. There's rural-ish areas in both metros, but Charlotte overall feels a lot less city than Atlanta imo.
With that said, culturally, the two feel similar in many ways, at least moreso than Atlanta and Dallas.

Dallas is nothing like Nashville. They have very little in common.
Austin is nothing like Atlanta.
But as you said youre not familiar with those areas and thats fine, but if you dont know Dallas and Austin, how could you know which one compares more so to Atlanta? It seems like you may be relying on stereotypes.
