It's like a mixed bag as it's smaller than Dallas, but larger than Charlotte. It has the geography and culture more similar to Austin (at least in the Eastside Atlanta neighborhoods). COL is about the same as Dallas but I believe ATL is slightly higher now, but lower than Nashville or Austin. Amenities about the same as Dallas.

Anyhow I chose Dallas.

My vote went to Dallas. They remind me most of each other.

Well Charlotte is like both a smaller Atlanta and a smaller Dallas in several respects, so it makes sense that Dallas and Charlotte are getting several mentions.

Regionally, I've long thought that Atlanta is like a Charlotte/Nashville/Birmingham hybrid.

Dallas=peer
Charlotte=smaller version

Austin and Nashville look and feel different from Atlanta, aesthetically and culturally.

DC. Both are the hub of affluent Black culture. The DC suburbs, particularly PG county, is almost identical to Atlanta’s suburbs in terms of demographics and look/feel.

Both Atlanta and Dallas developed as big inland rail hubs which connected them with Midwestern markets and are major magnets for corporate relocations and expansions across several industries. Both also have more successful brands and more of a white-collar, flashy image. Neither are quite as diverse as Houston or have economies that are as specialized or tied to international markets.
