No that is not the reason b/c the neighborhoods of South LA are just as dangerous, if not more, than those cities.
Acutally it is the reason. many People dont realize that Compton, Englewood, East LA arent in the city limits but still attribute such areas to the city of LA.
Back in year 2000 (or something like that?) New York changed so quickly, and now the crime rate in the city has got much, much better.
But Los Angeles... I don't know if it's getting better or worse... But they sure have high crime rates I heard.
NY began improving in the late 1980's or early 1990's. Interestingly, the commissioner that led the NYPD under Guliani is now the police commish of LA (Bratton) and he's done a good job out there as well. Whatever the NYPD did, it worked. One of the other top cops, Timoney, came to Philly in the late 1990's and cut crime there before being canned by the enxt mayor who wanted his own stooge (and crime started going back up).
Chicago dont have a crime problem compared to the early 2000's when I was coming up as a kid. Yeah people is making a big azz deal bout Chicago having all these murders this year but you gotta remember that when we led the nation in murders in 1999, 2001, and 2003, we was averaging 600+ kills a year. That was when sh !t was wild out here. We only at 474 as of today, so we only gonna end the year in the low 500's.
If you wanna count NYC as a whole it never really had a BIG problem in terms of crime but Borough by Borough NYC still has crime issues and they have been increasing alot in the past couple years.
I heard Chicago's south side has 5 shootings a day.........is it true?
