Dont know if a thread has been opened around this, but Ill do it anyways. This is derived from a debate between a couple co-workers
1) Pro Sports: NYC in all aspects, except basketball
2) Colleage Sports : LA. Not even close.
3) Sports Fans : Tough call. Stereortype hard-ass NYC fan vs. laid back LA fan.
4) Other : Stadiums (Yankee stadium, MSG vs. Colesium, Dodger stadium), etc
Where's Staples Center The most busiest Arena in America?Why does it always have to be Football,A Sport city is a Dam Sport city it's like saying NY Doesn't have A Soccer Team so it makes them a Joke Right(Example of Course).Staples center to me Looks Better to me than the MSG.
NYC has 2 soccer teams red bulls and the cosmos NYC got everything
LA is one of the worst sports cities IMO. Has nothing to do with the teams. Its all about how closely the city identifies with its teams and the passion of the fans.
I was actually talking about Eagles fans vs. Raiders fans b/c the majority (definitely not all) of the Eagles fans I've come across and seen on TV were punk frat boys who swear they're tough. I don't have much of an opinion on Phillies fans, but if murders outside baseball stadiums are a measure of toughness then Giants and Dodgers fans either got them beat or are close contenders.
Raiders fans otoh mess with anyone and don't give a crap. There have been stabbings inside their games, and last season I was just reading an article about a dude repping an opposing team in the Black Hole who got stomped by other fans and then when the OPD came and he thought he'd be helped the cop twisted his arm and talked sh*t to him. So a lot of Raider fans may be classless low lives, but they are no joke. Philly (Eagles at least) fans from my experience are only a step up from the idiot Seahawks fans.
