Not a lot to do in Charlotte. A lot of them travel to Atlanta.
What day is the garbage picked up around here? It's starting to pile up.

Sorry, but this is just wrong.

You make it seem as though uptown Charlotte is a ghost town or something. No, we don't have anything like the Riverwalk; that's a great asset to San Antonio, and I wish Charlotte did have a defining natural asset like a river. But we've got lots of people downtown. You should come see it this weekend during the CIAA tournament. Charlotte draws lots of big events that puts even more people than normal onto the streets.

LOL, spoken like one unfamiliar with the city.

"Not a lot to do in Charlotte"? That's not an opinion. Something like that can easily be quantified and verified. Now whether a person likes the things to do here is another matter.

Downtown Charlotte needs some kinda event to make it lively, San Antonio's downtown is always busy. When San Antonio has a event downtown is bursting at the seems.

Notice that I said that big events put "even more" people onto the streets. "Even more" is the key phrase here--meaning that there's already a lot of people on the street.

The thing that I like about Charlotte is that there's always something under construction uptown that contributes to even more pedestrian activity. Just in the past few years, we've gotten a new uptown arena, light-rail, and an entertainment complex. Currently we've got the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Wachovia cultural campus under construction. After that we'll be getting a new minor-league ballpark, two parks, and UNC Charlotte's uptown campus. Does San Antonio have any comparable recent examples? I'm genuinely asking because I don't know.

weekends? SA's downtown is packed throughout the week. I never stated Charlotte's downtown was a ghost town, but than again it isn't the main draw for the city. SA's downtown includes the riverwalk,Alamo, shopping, riverwalk mall, etc.

Both of the cities have very bad sprawl, but SA has a downtown that attracts over millions of people a year. On top of that, outside of downtown you got Seaworld,Splashtown,Sixflags, San Antonio Zoo and about 40 minutes away you got Schlitterbahn.

No, it's NOT an opinion. It is a factual statement that is simply wrong.

You are now arguing just for the sake of arguing.

Besides, you live near there and I'm SURE you know better considering your superior education and all. You probably do all of your shopping in Charlotte.
