Memphis itself is a music mecca, as is Nashville. Then you've got the Great Smoky Mountains and plenty of charming towns. TN is one of the states I want to visit most.
To visit might be alright. But to live here is a different story.
Phoenix has a million people. Phoenix is far from boring.
Ha ha, I was talking about the landscape but I guess if you get a million people in a dirt pit it could be fun. lol
There are very beautiful places in AZ, don't get me wrong, but once in Phx u will see what I am talking about. You've seen one stucco home, you've seen it all. I guess you could entertain yourself with the different landscaped rock formations in peoples front yards. There are definitely some interesting people here from a lot of interesting places. People from other places laugh a little at our so called "man made lakes" and "mountain". But they are here from places like MI, and CO. Do you see what I mean.
Driving thru the pine forests in the southern states gets monotonous pretty quickly, moreso than driving thru western Texas or Kansas. In places like Kansas and southern Texas, you got that great big sky to look at. I enjoy the openness of those places.

Its all what you enjoy. Personally, I love the pine forests of the South way more than the prairies of western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. Both areas do have their beauty however.

I've been to Phoenix twice and I like the scenery.

I like those thick pine forests too. The drive between Houston and Madisonville is beautiful.
