NO WAIT!!! I GOT IT...

WASHINGTON, DC HANDS DOWN!!!!!

I know it only doesn't have a skyline because of the laws that won't allow building any skyscrapers, BUT it's such a big metro area, dense urban core, big world influence, business influence home to thousands of major companies and LOTS of fortune 500 companies, and busy. That law sucks and is disappointing. I can only imagine how cool the skyline would be to show off America's Capital if that law hadn't existed. There's no way America would have let it be a sorry skyline...

FAA regulation. Sky Harbor airport is too close to downtown.

Whenever I fly into there, I feel like I'm flying right through the middle of their downtown. The airport practically splits the city in half.

Dang... That sucks but makes sense...

I have to look at 2 sorry skylines for most of my year, living between Phoenix and Washington DC (both apparently with height restrictions).

Dang... That means PHX will NEVER have a nice tall skyline... I thought that maybe it would happen one day. Oh well.........

Phoenix could build an all-new airport, like Denver did in the '80's. I'm sure if that happened, the skyline would blossom.

Hmmm... Sounds like a LOT of money and taxes!!!
Crap, I guess it would take that. But I like Skyharbor...

And even still, would they demolish Skyharbor or just utilize 2 airports?

Don't worry about trying to cheer me up and give me some hope. I'll just learn to live with the fact that I'll never see a skyscraper dotted PHX skyline...
