I would say Charlotte is a very happy city. It's beautiful, has fairly good weather, has a great location (close to the mountains and the beach), but mostly because it is full of transplants, many of whom were choice movers that feel as though they have escaped the hell in which they came from. Lots and lots of super friendly people! Also for a fairly large city, it still has a smaller, very family oriented feel to it.

Yes, Thanks.

Vermont - and Burlington - have both won so many awards, I can't keep track.

Charlotte is at least 3 and a half hours from the beach.

YEAH! When I first found C-data I was shocked when people were bashing L.A. Hell I still dont know why people don't like L.A. Seems like everybody has some kind of dislike of sun-belt cities. I mean if cities down south and cali suck sooooooo bad..why are people are moving there like geese in the winter time? As a matter of fact I think most sun-belt cities have a larger proportion of happier people than cities up north.
