Tampa has a big street racing scene. The roads are mostly straight, flat and wide. Way too tempting. But there is only so much I can do in a Honda Accord. LOL.
True Indeed, but they still race on Morleand Ave in the old Kroger plaza and they also race down in Clayton Co. on Hwy. 85.
I dont really consider side shows racing bruh. They do that here, only we call it "swervin". People in the hood do it all the time, after a block party or the club dudes will get in their old schools or muscle cars and start doing dougnuts in the middle of the street or swerve on other cars.
I didn't say Sideshows was street racing. However were you will find sideshows you will find racing.
No offense or anything but you guys don't even come close to matching Oaklands sideshows. It aint a couple dudes swinging dounuts after the club it's a two dozen cars taking over multiple freeways, it's 200 people shuting down MacArthur. Sideshows in the Bay are on a whole other level fromt the rest of the nation.
I highly doubt some dudes doing dougnuts would make the national news

Anyway, as far as I know Boston has nearly none. Plenty of people tune their cars (my friend has a 500hp Nissan Z), but since most tuned cars are decent sports cars with hyped up engines they're usually not so great to be flying around corners. This poses a problem in Boston since the terrain is hilly and we don't have a grid system. The fact that the streets are so tiny doesn't help the situation either.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Outside of entire movies being based off the L.A. / SoCal scene, there was also a videogame dedicated to it as well that came out last year:
I'm sure it's big in other places, but I will always believe that SoCal is the poster child for street racing due to how big the scene was and the environment that bred it (car culture, freeways, etc.)

Street Racing.................Sideshow. Two different things.
I know it isn't the same.. I said Sideshows and street racing are two different things in my eariler post. However I said were you will find sideshows you will find street racing.
I have never seen a street race in my city (Chicago). Wow, I never stopped to think that people actually do that sort of thing.
