Out of all the cities you have been to in the United States (or at least hear off television), list your 12 ten for best restaurants.

Here's mine:
1) NYC
2) Chicago
3) LA
4) San Francisco
5) Boston
6) Miami/New Orleans (tie)
7) Atlanta
8) DC
9) Memphis
10) Dallas
11) Philadelphia
12) Las Vegas

Those are all good cities for restaurants. But New Orleans should be in there somewhere.

I pretty much agree with your list, except Las Vegas should be like #3. There's a lot of world-class dining that has moved into LV within the last few years. Also, Boston and Philly should be in the top 5.

IMO, Boston should be lower and Houston should be on your list.

I would drop Memphis and add Houston. The former has a couple of good BBQ joints, but what else?
I think Minneapolis and Seattle have pretty great restaurant scenes as well.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to Madison, WI. For a smallish city and a somewhat transient college town, it has an amazing number and variety of restaurants.
