1.NYC(self-explanatory)
2.LA(Basically see Houston. Asian, Mexican, and creole/cajun food, because alot of the older black generation in LA are from east Texas Louisiana area so I would imagine they have those restaurants)
3.Chicago(Italian food, best pizza outside of NYC from what I heard)
4.New Orleans(cajon/creole food)
5.Houston(Because of it's close proximity to Louisiana it has Creole/Cajun food, and Mexican because it is in Texas, and good Asian restaurant, vietnamese chinese, ect basically see LA)
6. Miami(Best carribean, Latin American food)
7. D.C. (Any city that holds LARGE political figures and world leaders, must have some high-class restaurants, I know the president dose not eat out though)
8. Boston(clam chowder is good from what I hear)
9. Atl(southern breakfest grits ect, ect)
10. I guess Las Vegas
I see Vegas on lots of lists and don't understand. It has some great upscale places but other than that I didn't seem to find much of a variety of good places. Maybe I missed these places? Lots of these other cities have great little ethnic eateries scattered around neighborhoods.

They don't advertise for the most part and you need reservations (often can only get in if you know a vip concierge, or if you are a high roller and get comped), the same for many of the clubs there (I guess the reason why some people on here doubt the night life there as well.) They are tucked away in the masses of the casinos so you definitely won't see them on the strip, and have to walk around quite a bit inside the Casino's or ask the concierge to find them. One exception is Commander's Palace which is right out in the open in Alladin's spice market. Also Bobby Flay's place is pretty out in the open (but not that great IMO)
There are also many gourmet shops that have lv locations which mainstays are in nyc/chicago/sf ... i.e. vosgues chocolate.
The average tourist will probably not see any of this.
Las Vegas has a "normal touristy" level of things...then an exclusive level of things behind the scenes that isn't really advertised.
This is much the same with LA, and why a lot of people don't like it...an insiders place. I think a lot of this probably has to do with the connections it has with LA.
Thats cool. I've chowed at a few places in Hoboken, and surprisingly my favorite is Fiore's, and old school italian deli. Couple good Cuban joints in Hoboken, and around Grove street in JC as well.
never heard of that place. But the small little places are usually the best.
...because we all know that there is nothing worthwhile to eat in any other city.
