The people who act like that are trolls and should be avoided at all costs.

Small cities are not towns. They are cities too and should be discussed on city data just as much as big cities.

the last time that I checked nothing was stopping you from starting a thread of a small city comparing another small city.

one was just started comparing savannah vs. pensacola and look at how many responses they got.

if you want to discuss smaller cities then you are better going to that state and there will be a sub forum for that city

you can not expect to get many responses in the city vs city forum when you are comparing small towns

Fact of the matter is that the big cities are where the jobs are (although they are all hurting in this economy), while small towns generally do not have the means of absorbing, say, 500 new workers in a day. A large percentage of the folks who use this site do so because they are interested in relocation. There are many fine small towns, but many of them are not practical for relocation. Whereas, a city like Houston or DC is always going to be able to accommodate one new worker. I don't feel like small towns are getting slammed on this site. But they may not get celebrated as much as the OP would like because there are not many opportunities to move to those small towns for most job seekers.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I picked Savannah, the bigger of the two.

I'll take Boulder,Telluride ,Santa Fe, Santa Barbara, to any large US. City without hesitations--Give me pristine surroundings and superior outdoor ammenities---that's high quality living for me..I live in Denver right now, and I can easily disapear into quiet, beautifully, serene surroundings within twenty five minutes..try that in LA or NYC.. Huge cities--been there, done that...

WOW.

Savannah is huge. I think that the metro area is about 500,000.

Dont go overboard with those big city picks

Never said it was a big city. I was just emphasizing that I don't always pick the smaller city like you accused me of doing. It is bigger than Pensacola.

You made some very good points. I like a balance between city amenities and natural beauty, which can be found in a number of small cities.
