Orlando is fun only because of the AMUSEMENT PARKS other then that it is either very BLAH or very GHETTO (in some areas, of course)

Now, Miami on the other hand has it's BEACHES and NIGHTLIFE but also nice housing (of course once again not in THE HOOD).

So I would of course stick to MIAMI....

P.S. Instead of Orlando you should of put MIAMI, VEGAS and NYC
You New Yorkers are so annoying. If you want another thread with NY in it, go make one yourself

They're very different: what we have to consider is;

Miami: This is possibly the number one spring break destination in all of the US. The beaches here are immensely packed and televised by MTV and all these other teen channels. It also has a port, and is the largest Cruise Lining port in USA. So this is for vacation in the sun, on the sand, in the waters! The skyline has also reached 3rd largest, it's like being in the Carribean without being in the Carribean, thats the kind of feel Miami gives off.

Las Vegas: This is the worlds largest collection of casino's and is home to the 10 best hotels in the world. (I don't know if that number changed recently but my claims are backed by 2007 best hotel status) There are many things to do here and to see, replicas of the 7 wonders, the strip, and it sure is built for comfort (the hotels). This city gives off the feel that you can do anything in a day, marry, divorce, get rich, become broke, all in one day.

Orlando: Every child in America knows the name of this city, it's where Universal, Disney, Sea World, and the Magics come together. This city was built for childhood adventures to be explored. It even has America's "most fun and unique McDonald's, which is two stories and a combination of chuckecheese and a go cart place all in one. Lets face it this city makes everyone feel a lot younger!

They can't be compared for which one is better and which one is worse, because all three are so completely different, they're ALL necessary. I also noticed each of these cities attract different age groups.

Orlando: This city attracts mainly little kids, the ones who love to watch Nickelodeon and Disney, they're from the age of 3-14. That age group are mostly the ones who are appealed by Orlando, older people love it too but not as much as the kids.

Miami: This city attracts young adults and mostly teens for their beaches and hot "get away spots". The age groups here are from 14-25. That age group are mostly the ones who are appealed by Miami, older and younger people still love it too, but Miami's love comes mostly from young adults and teens.

Las Vegas: This city attracts young adults to senior citizens for their casinos and night life, and attractions. The age groups here are 22+. That age group are mostly the ones who are appealed by Vegas, younger people like it too but they're restricted on what they can do. If you're not 21 then then there isn't a whole lot of things you can do besides the rides and zoo's.

This is sad. I know nothing about Vegas. I Know everything about Orlando as it does not attract ONLY KIDS. Its a shame that because a city's economy is a bit different, it gets bashed as a dump.

Orlando is actually a great city and even a better metro than many other cities I have visited.

Not saying that because it is home, I actually considered moving before, but those visits to other cities made me appreciate what was NOT THEME PARKS or tourist attractions. It's a nice well kept city. Smaller yes but unique in its own way!

Miami wins though in my opinion. Vegas does not touch Miami. Orlando doesn't really need to compete with Miami I mean, for what? LOL They are both in the same state, they have no beef ha ha!

Thank you. Most people have never experienced all Orlando has to offer. You have to look at the big picture. Most people have visited the tourist corridor of orlando when they were younger and think they know Orlando as a whole. Orlando is actually a larger metro than Las Vegas. People are just blinded by the theme parks. Its great city and I'm not just saying that because I live here. I have been to a lot of cities in the US. Its not the best city but its better than what a lot of people on here are saying. "a dump" "built for kids", etc. It was actually a thriving city before Disney came along. I would rather live in Orlando than A LOT of other cities.

I give this 10 mins, then dailyJournalist is going to attack this post with some type of insult toward Orlando.

But its cool. Orlando can actually be a great place to live, either as a young singe, or to raise a family.

If I had to pick, it would be in between Las Vegas and Orlando. Miami is a great place to visit, but it would be way to hectic living there.

I am already waiting for an attack. But I agree. I don't even get bothered when people discredit Orlando as being a real city. For goodness sakes you could take away our Tourism and the city itself would be okay due to places such as Lockheed Martin, EA Sports, and Orange Count Government itself. Of course it would fall but I mean our economy is spreading and becoming more diverse I must say. I feel like we beat Vegas in anyway possible.

It has to be if it is constantly growing.

You are right, Orlando's economy has diversified greatly in the past few decades and its diversifying even more as we speak.

Just look at the economy section under Orlando's wiki page. The high teach industry is growing like crazy and so is the biotech/medical industry. Along with many other industries.

Also the only two places from FL that made the CNN list of top 100 places in the US to live in, are Orlando suburbs.

Miami
Orlando
Las Vegas

Sorry, but Miami takes the cake. I know a lot of people may downgrade Miami, but I think it is a great city. Orlando gets a bad rep as well, but I think both Floridian cities blow Las Vegas out of the water. I wouldn't worry, Miami and Orlando will come back better than before from this recession. I see Vegas only getting worse.
