Please tell me if I'm misunderstanding the question. I live in Connecticut, which historically has been underrated as far as importance to the US as a whole. Our State created thd first Constitution, and provided rations disproportionally to any other state during the Revolutionary War, 1812, Civil War, WW1, WW2... we host the most prosperous industries in the Nation - including the #1 Corporation in the World in my hometown. Without our small state, there would be no Constitution, arms, helicopters, dictionaries, circuses, cheeseburgers or pizza. With all due respect to California, Texas and New York, Connecticut truly has everything. I've travelled the Nation, and no other state can match it's beauty, quality of life, and food! Seriously Connecticut birthed the cheeseburger, New Haven Apizza, and the buttered lobster roll. Isn't that enough??? LOL
California, no contest, with Texas as the runner-up. I think a more interesting discussion would be finding which states are the most important relative to their population and land area, of which I think the smaller states in the BosWash metropolitan area would probably take the cake, perhaps with Massachusetts leading the pack. For its size, MA wields a ton of cultural and economic influence, and has a good bit of natural resources to boot.
ohhhh there's so many the list could go on and on and on.......do you want them list alphabetically or west to east?
