I always here people talk about the lack of education, poverty, backwards ways and crime in the Southeast but what about the Southwest who share those same things in common. I just thought about this and it got me thinking.
Is it cause people just have a natural hate for the Southeast cause of its past?
Is it cause the Southwest has beautiful natural settings that kind of mask everything else.
I hear some of the newcomers complaing about all these things when they move to NM.
Has anyone ever thought about this?
I love my state and all but Im just keeping it real.
Since I dont think this has been done, I'll ask- Which would you chose and what are the pros and cons of each area?
I pick the Southwest if we're counting all of Texas, specifically Austin, Dallas, or Houston. More variety and better economy. But compared to other parts of the country that I like I wouldn't care much for one nor the other.
Other than that......I perfer dry heat vs humid. I would consider moving to AZ I havent had a bad experience there yet... I would live in southwest prob before I would ever consider Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, or Arkansas.
So why does everyone view the South so bad and not the Southwest?
It seems the only people that feel this way about the Southwest are the ones that move here from more civilized life and end up hating it, but there are plenty that love it.
So why does everyone view the South so bad and not the Southwest?
Number of factors, but I'd say lack of understanding. From both sides of the fence(South and non-South).
