No, hell is supposedly sweltering hot. I never heard of hell being cold with winter jackets...lol.

Hell is what a person would say is a place where life is unbearable for them. Many would say that 10 degrees and windy is hell for them. We are not referring to "hell" as in the religious term like the opposite of heaven

Rust Belt. I like winter and cooler summers. The cities have more history, grit, and are architecturally much more appealing. Not to mention living in the desert is about as eco-unfriendly as it gets.

Of course, you could always go back to burning coal all over the place up there. You folks seem to like your "grit" so much, that could easily add several more layers!
at the grit comment...I'm sure that's but an enhancement to their precious "historic architecture."

And I fully agree with the heating comment. People say that the Sun Belt would be uninhabitable without AC, as if to suggest that states like Wisconsin would be tolerable for half of the year without some form of heating!

Not happening so far.

The sun belt has no appeal to me, at least not as a place to live. I've lived in two rust-belt cities now and I've liked them both. So I guess my vote goes to the rust belt.

Which is why great civillizations like the ancient Egyptians and Mesopamians lived in the desert right? They were totally eco-unfriendly

Welcome home. Are you back in Chicago now?

Not a particularly apt example. On the contrary, they are great examples of how artificial irrigation and failure to properly manage same can lead to desertification.

All I'm saying is that its possible for humans to survive in the desert

Nothing more than that

Neither of those civilizations lived in the desert. They were lush river valleys. They are deserts now.
