he pretty much does not rapper better than:
Scarface
Andre 3000
Big Boi
Phonte
Supastition
Deacon the Villain
The DOC in his prime
K-Rino
Dead Prez
Cyne
Playa Fly
J. Cole
Gerald G
Goodie Mob
Bun B
The entire South Park Coalition
shall I go on? Now if you said Southern rappers of today, I'd agree and no KONY, I NEVER liked that song as well as any other Bad Boy song that came out in 1997. Can't have your cake and eat it to. That was just as bad as the bling bling rap that was out in 1999/2000.
Yeh you are so right. Most of Bad Boy (accept the singers)I did not like(exclude Biggie). It was so materialistic.Shiny JOGGING suits?LOL.Come on!!!BLING(and crack)LOL came from THE NORTH.
You basically repeated what I said. It's just a big publicity stunt for yet another disgruntled NY rapper to get some of the spotlight on his slowly fading career.
Publicity stunt my rear end, NaS is still here and hes still hot.
In 2008 he won the emcee of the year reward from HipHopDx.
On July 2nd he signed a shoe deal with Fila. His most recent album was given 4.5 Mics by The Source which almost makes it a classic. The album Debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. It sold 550,000 copies with the only real big hype being the original name title. So this shows that NaS isnt fading at all and he is still making great music.

I could care less about what he does and the mindless drones who shower him with praise. That silly "Hip Hop is Dead" comment, along with others like "That ain't real Hip Hop", "the South ruined Hip Hop" and "Let's bring New York back" all convey where his & other rappers true agendas lie. "Real" Hip Hop fans would embrace all aspects of the culture, not their draconian, tunnel-visioned view of what they think it should be.
