Yes, Ted is a good guitar player, but very arrogant, IMHO.

Yes, Iggy is from Detroit, as is the Romantics, Alice Cooper, the Ramones, White Stripes, Eminem, ICP(don't listen to them--they may be more local), Grand Funk Railroad, Madonna(went to junior high with her), MC5. Can't think of any others at the moment, but I'm sure there are more.

I remember staying in California for a while in 1975 and when I mentioned Bob Seger's music, I would always get "Bob who?" lol
Iggy is from AA.Grand Funk Railroad was from Flint. And ofc Ramones wasn't even from michigan.

"Dirty Water" does it for me in Boston.

"Come on Eileen" is not about Boston. Neither is "Shippin up to Boston", it's basically just some pirate jibberish with the word Boston thrown in there. Not a bad song though, and it's good to sing at Fenway. But I have a hard time with it since it really has nothing to do with Boston.

If you're referring to the Philadelphia Orchestra, the two most famous are probably Leopold Stokowski (Music Director from 1912 to 1938) and Eugene Ormandy (Music Director from 1938 to 1980). However, I can't think of any iconic Philadelphia theme music associated with the Orchestra.

Personally, nothing says "Philadelphia" to me more than one of the Mummer's String Bands (my favorite is the Ferko String Band) playing The Pennsylvania Polka as it marches up South Broad Street to City Hall on New Years Day!

For Atlanta (born and raised) I'd say, "Welcome to Atlanta" by Jermaine Dupri. That was definitely the anthem when I was growing up there.
