1. Texas (duh.)
2. South Carolina (conservatism, etc.)
3. New York (add NY to the end of that and you got a reason)
4. SoCal (not the entire state, just the beach bums on the south side)
5. Alaska (yeah.........)
Well im judging from Tremendous experience. I live here in Florida. We have people from northern states down here as half of our population! Most of them have much confidence and pride in their states. More of a good type of pride though!

Even though this thread is just mostly opinion, I really question your #4th choice. After growing up in LA most of my life, and living in the Bay Area now, I would say that SoCal'ers have very little pride of where they live. In fact, even on this site (though a small sample of people), the LA/OC/Inland Empire forums are full of people who hate the place and whine and complain, ad naseum. A huge chunk of my friends (sadly) dream of leaving LA for 'greener pastures' wherever that may be. NorCal is the exact opposite, where nature here forms some sort of utopia.
In the end though, it kinda evens out. California is pretty neutral overall about itself. Some love it, some hate it. Just like any other place.
I'm not 100% positive, but I think that's a myth that any state can split off and form it's own country. I think after the Civil War, no state has the right to separate from the country.

South Carolina all the way....but Im decidedly biased. I love my ornery, quirky, opinionated state.
Italian guys who live in the NYC metro area who like to go to clubs, have spiky hair, macho, wear wife beaters, talk with a really thick accent. A lot of people in the south make fun of us for having them, but a lot of girls here like these type of guys. I'd rather have guidos than rednecks, lol.
As much as I hate to say it, Indiana has the least pride because Hoosiers are too ignorant to know how great their state actually is and how good they actually have it.
There is no middle ground with Guidos - its just constant loud obnoxious in your face arrogance and stupidity.
There are various degrees of redneck. Some even appear very normal.
The scary thing around this neck of the wood are the wigger rednecks.
Id have to agree.
She lost me when she said "Thick accent". I *hate* most (I said most, not all) NY accents, both male and female. Its like my ears are being violated. They're a complete turnoff to me, so I think Id rather be around "rednecks" too.

I can't stand New Jersey accents. They're the worst. However, I do love Brooklyn accents.
I agree about guidos. I always thought guidos would just be really annoying. Unfortunately, I'm used to rednecks so they don't bother me as much.
