The North is nothing special. Its old and rusty and the name stands for itself the Rust belt. They talk so much smack as if there cities are superior. The main cities from up North that talk all that crap are big dumps, smelly, contaminated, and decaying cities.
It's kind of sad how your fellow Houston people argue with you so much since you don't believe Houston is rated right near NYC. At least you see the truth.
You know, you should at least give Texas a chance by visiting Dallas and Houston. Truth of the matter is, they arent NYC, they arent Los Angeles, they arent Chicago, but both are wonderful cities that their residents should feel lucky to live in.
They both offer lots in the way of the arts and culture. One of the cities I love for arts in culture here is Fort Worth. You wouldnt think it just from hearing the name, but they have world class art museums, theater, ballet, parks, etc. So do Dallas and Houston.
And this is a list of Top 10 Cultural Tourism cities, not Top 10 Cultural Tourism cities for African Americans.
The point is cultural tourism includes African Americans. Because of the high amount of tourism for Black hotspots in Atlanta, its overall cultural tourism is high.

There's character to be found; it's just not over-hyped or used as a selling point like in the case of Austin.
