what are some examples of this creative lingo? (serious question)
i'm not sure where most of the country gets its lingo from...i think it has more to do with region. the youth in particular regions are more likely to get their slang from the largest area in the region in sort of a trickle down way, IMHO.
i have to disagree on women looking better in atl...but i will say that it seems like more women know how to cook in the south, which is a huge plus.
honestly, so many ppl want to be us, threads like this seem...foolish.
i can't tell you how many times ppl have tried to mimic the way that i sound, outside of the north.
all of a sudden, after i speak, ppl that were born and raised in the south that never stepped foot outside of their state go from:
"yeah, mane, we bout to go to the sto' right quick and pick up some juice. then caowll nikeisha sister to see what she wont..."
to
"yeah son...afta i get back from the stoa, i'ma holla at..."
Wow.....don't impress yourself. No one is trying to be like New Yorkers down here. We have our own slang, swag, style, culture, etc

which barely did crap
Well, they don't teach speech based on specific accents, lol. I took speech growing up and also had private speech lessons. They showed me words pronounced in a general American accent too.
