I will say that I do not believe Houston's nightlife is boring. It's just that it's spread out. More spread out than many other cities. You really are going to havve to get in your car to get to another hotspot. Can't say the same for most cities in the nation. Better public transit IMO will fix this.

I'm going to be honest with you all.
Everytime I hear the word "Houston", the first image I get in my head is some guy with a really thicke mustache being the CEO to an Oil drilling company....
It's weird, but I just wanted to share that... thought this would be the appropriate thread to do that!

I wish we were all CEO's down here. Sadly, 99.999999999% of us aren't. You'd be surprised how many of us down here are just like the rest of the people around the U.S.
lol. if his friends was in Dallas than I think he's probably right.
I think people exaggerate the whole "black dallasites can't dress" thing. because i've seen more than my fair share of people from there who definitely knew how to put it together.
better than people from houston? generally speaking, probably not. but that's just my personal experience, so i could be wrong
now if y'all want to see a city where the people REALLY can't dress, you should visit little rock lol jk
Whenever I go to a city, these are among the first things I look for. And also a great mall. Not necessarily for shopping but I like mall aesthetics. I'm sure you understand as a fellow architecture admirer.
It was LA, my friend was from LA and she stated Texas is about 10 years behind in almost eveything. But that was extreme to say because outside of "Hollywood" LA is probably the same as Houston or Dallas. Well, far as fashion and styles, LA and Dallas are probably more likely to be dressed in the lastest looks and trends before Houston would. I see people in Houston dress accordling to weather and we are more laid back, sort of plain jane or average joe. People in LA and Dallas would probably be dressed with hair and make up daily even if they are hanging around the house or going to store, like you see on the Soaps or TV shows. Most people I see in Houston are usually in pjs or in something more plain and comfortable around their house... Plus life in Texas is a bit more laid back and slower paced, LA seems very alive 24 hours and more advance maybe.
Just because Houston residents don't dress up to check the mail or go to Walmart, like in Dallas, doesn't mean they are behind Dallas in fashion.
So long as they don't buy their clothes there
(ok I just clicked to see what was going here and this is what I saw)
Carry on...
