Philly usually sees high temps only in the teens to low twenties in Late January or early Feb. I've been saying so for awhile! It's frigid in Philly! They'd be lucky if the Weather Channel people were right with temps around 26. It's more like 22 or up to 24. That's frigid with gusty northwest winds to 30 miles an hour!

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The average high temps in Philadelphia for January and February are in the 40s for both of those months. Not the teens or 20's.

It will be this week! I never said it was the average. They usually get several cold snaps bringing the temps into the 20's or lower. The average is around 39 or 40 for Jan. That's frigid!

Denver usually gets several cold snaps like that from at least October through April......are you joking right now? Last week there were highs in Denver in the teens with lows in the negatives. THAT is frigid. Your ridiculous double standard on this thread shows a lack of maturity and objectivity and quite frankly is probably why the OP has abandoned it and surely why this will be my last post on the thread. The average high temps are 40, 43 for January and February respectively in Philadelphia and 45, 46 for those months in Denver. Low temps? 25, 27 for Philly and 18, 20 for Denver. You are being ridiculous. Denver is not a "Warm winter" city, and neither is Philadelphia. Ironically enough the average annual average high temperature in Philadelphia and Denver are EXACTLY the same (64.6 degrees), yet the average low temperatures are 37.1 for Denver and 47.1 for Philadelphia. So technically you are utterly wrong and Philly has on average a warmer climate than Denver because the average annual temp overall is 5 degrees lower (10 degrees lower avg low with equal average high) in Denver.

I rest my case! On Tues., Philly will be 22 or 23. It's typical for Philly to get these brutal cold snaps from late Jan to early Feb. It's frigid to the bone!

No it's not, it is pretty uncommon actually. It is usually in the 40s in the winter. This will be the coldest it has been all winter this week... and it will be right back up to the 40s and 50s this weekend. Philadelphia has low temps just as much as Denver has temps in the teens or below, except Philadelphia BARELY EVER has highs in the teens. We rarely ever have highs lower than 30 degrees... this is a rarity.

P.S... it's snowing right now in Philadelphia. Yipee!

It's going to be a high of 27 tomorrow, 25 Wednesday and 27 Thursday. Don't follow the weather channel, they are ALWAYS wrong and are usually off by at least 5 degrees.
