The reason Cincinnati's skyline is so attractive is because you can't see it until you get close to it because of the terrain. There are several compact skylines that would look good in that type of setting. If Cincinnati's skyline was on flat terrain like Columbus' skyline, it would look small and short. After all, Cincinnati only has 2 buildings over 500 ft.

Can't believe I forgot about Rochester! Granted, most of the skyline is Mayo Clinic, but it definitely beats Grand Rapids, Dayton, and Toledo on my list.

I guess I never had thought of it like that, but it's true. Still, terrain has to count for something and the hills plus the river puts the skyline ahead of most Midwestern cities, in my opinion. Additionally, it's skyline looks much more dense than Columbus'.

KC has a much bigger skyline than most cities that people are talking about here.

True, but where the queen city square building stands now they were actualy trying to put building simlar to the twin towers and about the same height, no joke but of course cincy takes the smaller rout as it always does.
