Since Detroit & Edmonton have approximately the same population, you're about 70 times more likely to get murdered in Detroit than in Edmonton... yea they're probably thinking that lol

The State of Durango, in Mexico, is being ravaged by violence there. As of 05/30, there have been 455 murders for the year so far (population 1.5 million).

Oh wow, what's going on there. I have constanly defended the city as being safe, seems like numbers are up all across teh board.

Not sure the total count this year but there was one stabbing murder and a newspaper delivery guy shot in the neck (he survived) in North Lexington this weekend.

Oh jeez... sounds like innocent lives are just being taken in NYC. It was a tragedy to see the video of the guy dying in the street and not one person call for help.

Just last week the decrease in murders from 2009 was 27.4 %, now its 24.1%

As the summer approaches, the more murders will happen.

well not everywhere in new york is safe lol, and yea in the beginning of the year nyc was up almost 30 percent in murders, now we are up percent.

south manhattan(basically the city) had the biggest increase. the murder percent is up 800% with 9 murders as of 5/23 compared to 1 last year.
