Again, Malls and Outlets can be found in any decent size metro area. Park avenue (Winter Park) may have some boutiques but they are very few and the area is considered more of a dining area than a shopping district. I do not see anything special about Orlando shopping that would make it any better than what can be found in Charlotte.
It's the ABUNDANCE of high-end malls in the Orlando area, that give Orlando the credibility. Who needs a downtown shopping center? It's not about what TYPES of shopping centers, it's about QUANTITY of shopping centers.

I definitely have no arguments about shopping in Charlotte. Orlando, IMO, definitely has the edge there. However, one thing I notice about the malls here in Charlotte, is that it really becomes a commercial, retail, and residential hub and becomes a whole 'nother district in the city. For example is Concord Mills, Northlake(it is still transforming), and especially Southpark. Eastland is an exception but its fututre is up in the air. But in Charlotte, you always have somebody who has the hook up.

I've noticed that also. Concord Mills isn't to far from where I live.

Charlotte doesn't have a place like park ave, and it doesn't have the quantity or variety of Orlando's shopping.
Please explain this quantity or variety of shopping in Orlando.lol All you have is a couple of malls and outlets. And Park Avenue is one small street which is not considered a shopping district and is not even in town. Other than the theme parks (which only a child would like) there is nothing that Orlando has that is different from other sunbelt cities.

That video helped prove that Orlando has better shopping. The Mall at Millenia blows The south park mall out of the water.
winter park's CBD is just 4 miles north of orlando's CBD (which are in the very center of the metro area, both are in the urban core of the metro area that has been around since the early early 1900's. Within a metro area that is 42 miles wide 60 miles long. they are very close.
That video showed nothing that compares to park ave. It doesn't matter if its not "a shopping district" its a large area of luxury shopping in in a beautiful historic setting. surrounded by upscale historic brick road neighborhoods.
And as for other shops, malls, towncenters, outlets, themed shopping, etc Orlando has just as much if not more than what they showed in that video.
Charlotte is absolutely very lacking in high-end brand stores. Yes. Every decent size metro area has malls and outlets, but the brands they carry differ a lot. The orlando premium outlet is the nation's third best outlet in terms of high end/luxury brands.
