Can we get back on track everyone? History is obviously in Boston's favor. Let's just talk about the here-and-now.

Agreed, lets talk about Boston as a major financial center.

Third in the country, 14th in the world--not too bad.

But...... I won't.
I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure Air Ambulance services existed during World War 1 in Europe. Dont have any idea how you came up with that one.

It is where one of the first, and still the largest, air ambulance service was created; a very successful inter-institutional transplant program was developed; and more heart surgeries are performed than anywhere else in the world.

I honestly think TMC is geared towards reserach first than patients. People need to understand that TMC is not a hospital. It's a medical research facility. That's why it continues to grow even holding the title as the largest medical district in the world.

Houston has advantages and Boston has advantages. Boston had a major headstart over Houston. Houston is playing catchup to cities that are now sitting around waiting for them to do so themselves. Houston has a bright future ahead of them.

Battle of San Jacinto. Where Texas was won from Mexico.
Not on the level with the Boston Tea Party... but there's your history. Certainly very important to Texas and this region of the US; there's a monument just east of Houston for it that stands taller than the one in Washington D.C.
