Both have blues and jazz in their history. Two cities with a lot of character and history that are currently struggling with poverty and crime. New Orleans definitely has more of a Disneyland thing going on and a lot more bars.

The Lower 9 and Central City are two of the worst parts of the city in regard to crime and poverty concentration.

Arabi is after the Barracks, between the lower 9 and Chalmette.

Shakeesha: Holy Cross is seeing some gentrification, while nothing much above St. Claude is. I would guess that it's because Holy Cross is next to the river and has very little chance of flooding, and it didn't suffer the devastation like the lower 9th above St. Claude (or above Claiborne where the flood wall broke).

Does the city have any plans to tackle this problem in the future?
