I will be on vacation, visiting Cedar Point on Labor Day. I wish I could pick another day, but apparently that is the last day of the season.

I have no idea what the park is like. What rides shouldn’t I miss? How can I get a discounted ticket?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

labor day weekend is crowded at cedar point. i wouldnt advise going, and you wouldnt be able to get discounted tickets. while it is the end of their summer season, cedar point stays open on certain days/times through the end of october.

Some say that it's the best amusement park in the world. I don't know if that's the case, but it's pretty damn good. If you're a rollercoaster fan, you'll love it.

I second the notion about not going on Labor Day weekend. It will be very crowded. CP stays open on the weekends clear through Halloween. Amusement Park Hours, Driving Directions & More | Cedar Point

1) Millennium Force
2) Dragster
3) Maverick
4) Raptor
5) Magnum

In that particular order...you'll be luck to hit that many on labor day so consider anything pass 3 a bonus

You will find it is a freaky clean park, 50,000 trash cans(seems that way anyway) and a whole crew does nothing but pick up trash off the ground, they do not put up with a lot of mischief either, line cutters can be, and have been, escorted OUT.

Everyone except older folks and small children pay the same admission, I believe it is $51 now. (I think they should bring back wrist bands)

If you are going in a group you can get a group discount but otherwise there are none.

If you do coasters(LISTED ABOVE) do them first thing, if you wait you may spend half your day in line.

Very limited where you can get beer too, the Beer Garden and Lusty Lils are it and you can NOT walk around the park with it.

They have a moderately strict dress code too, always must have some type of shoes on and no bare chests while walking around the park.

I've never had a problem walking around CP with a beer. Is this something new?

Thanks for the responses. Like I wrote, Labor Day is the only chance I will have to visit.

Looking at their website, I can't believe it costs $12 to park there - what a ripoff!
