As you can see, as a city, Cleveland is the 11th most dangerous in the US, while Las Vegas is the 56th. This is out of over 385 cities in the US.
However, as a metro, Cleveland is the 100th most dangerous in the US, while Las Vegas is the 3rd most dangerous (ouch!). This is out of over 338 metros in the US.

by the way, cle, good source.. i saw it at first but thought i had to pay for the information... crazy thing, it rates north las vegas safer than las vegas.. on the las vegas forum, if you ask around, its opposite

Yeah, its one of the most accurate lists that Ive seen. Almost all of them are in the correct place.
There will always be some flaws, but they have a pretty good formula and factor in everything that needs to be.

Actually I think 4 people were killed in Oakland. 3 cops and the suspect were all killed. Another cop is injured, but recovering I think. Its gotten a lot of national news attention.

4th cop is brain dead and on life support. I suspect he'll be #17. Would the suspect's death be counted? I say that with general ignorance -- I'm not sure if he'd be counted or not.
