We moved here about 6 weeks ago. Actually I did, my husband had a side trip to San Jose first courtesy of GE before getting here. And I have a few questions.

One question, given where we are (Belville), what's the best public beach access for us in the area?

We found one Farmer's Market this morning (Sat) downtown at RiverWalk but are there others in the area?

Where is the best BBQ place in town (prefer take out).

If I think of more, I'll add then to this thread. Liz

Well, I can only help you with one of your questions.

Belville isn't too far away from Oak Island. Lots of public beach access there. If you go to Ocean Crest Pier, you'll be close to public restrooms (as well as a little store). Though I didn't see anywhere to wash off when my family and I were there a couple weeks ago.

You might also want to try Holden Beach.
For bbq, try Big Oak on Kerr Ave (near/behind Tomlinson's -- on College Road).

Thanks for the tip on bbq, I knew where to get good bbq in Greenville, SC but not here. (I grew up in G'ville) And my dh and I ADORE bbq. We've missed having good bbq since we've been living up north. Liz
