Moving to Currituck County

We visited the area and love it! Definitely a farming rural community and perfect for horses. The people were great. First time I have ever met a recent high school graduate that loves where she grew up and is planning on staying. Visiting again this summer to checkout the traffic and summer climate and hopefully start looking for the perfect property.

When you visit this summer make sure it's not on a Saturday. That's when people move in/out of beach houses at OBX and sometimes the Caratoke Highway (168/158) will be backed up from Virginia to the beach.

Actually I think it's important that we visit at the worst of times, trafficwise, so we won't be surprised if we do move here. We have a trip planned for late July and hope to view some available properties. On our last visit during the winter we loved the welcome we received from the locals. I was concerned how the "Yankees" would be viewed but everyone was very nice.
